The BC NDP Timeline: 60 Years of Progress

The New Democratic Party was founded as a national party in August, 1961. The founding convention of the British Columbia Section of the NDP was held at the Bayshore Hotel in Vancouver, on October 27 & 28, 1961. And thus began sixty years of progress, making life better for British Columbians.

We invite you to explore sixty years of milestones, setbacks and accomplishments. These timelines are brought to you by Ron Johnson, NDP activist and Chair of the BC NDP History Working Group.
